"Mini's for Mini's" program is a fun program designed for young children.
Children will learn about horsemanship and animal care on the ground, using miniature horses, donkeys, goats, and sheep. The small size of our miniature ponies are beneficial because they are exactly like horses, but less intimidating, making them perfect for ground work - leading, brushing, and safety! Children engage in team emphasized exercises, and find themselves learning valuable skills in a fun, and exciting atmosphere! This is NOT a learn-to-ride program, and children will not be riding every week.
Each lesson is 30min - 1 hour and includes:
~ Learning about horses, donkeys, ponies, goats, sheep
~ A craft, coloring sheets, or games
~ Physical work with the animals, learning basic handling skills through a variety of games, and obstacle courses
~ Pony rides (minimum once a month)
Children will be learning about:
- Horse handling
- Safety around horses
- Grooming
- Horse feeding

- Horse body language
- And much more!

On Sunday March 5th, Spike - one of our most well-known and well-loved lesson horses - injured himself in the pasture. He got himself in a tricky situation where he was stuck lying down, and he damaged his eye as he attempted to get up. It is very dangerous for horses to be lying down for extended periods of time, so his after-care is of extreme importance!
Please go to the link to donate to Spike’s go fund me page, and get updates about his condition. Share with your friends and family if you can; every donation counts for this sweet boy
