The Gospel Pony Project

The purpose of the Gospel Pony Project is to share God's message of love and hope through the use of horses and nature. Our main purpose is to connect children to God by cultivating a heart-transforming personal faith in Jesus through biblically sound teaching and the Lords beautiful creation. Children will work with animals and learn about Jesus and the Bible.

Currently we offer programs for kids age 7-13. We are hoping to expand our programs and age groups in the future. If you have youth interested, they are welcome to volunteer!

Each lesson is 1.5 hrs. Depending on the week lessons may include

~ Learning about Jesus through the Bible

~ Bible memory verses
~ Learning about horses 

~ Crafts, coloring sheets, or games 

~ Physical work with the miniature horses and or horses learning basic handling skills through a variety of games and obstacle courses

~ Working with goats and donkeys

~ Nature walks

~ Horse handling 

~ Safety around horses

~ Grooming 

~ Horse feeding 

~ Horse care 

~ Horse anatomy, language, colours and markings

~ Stable management 

We offer our program for free so there is no financial barrier for children to attend. We do however accept donations if you wish to do so that help towards the cost of the program, staff, facilities and feed/maintenance on the animals. We appreciate any support!

Please note, this isn’t a riding program. If you are looking for a more structured riding program please check out our other riding programs. The main purpose of the program is to cultivate a closer relationship with the Lord.

We are located just a few minutes north west of the Costco in St. Albert.
